You know somebody commented on another post and I think what they said was really smart. The costume designer DOES seem to be leaning towards Billabong, Hurley, Vans etc. I bet you a lot of Bella's wardrobe will be from those clothing lines and that will help us find who made her green top for the saving Edward scene and her blue sweater with the Billabong jacket. Just a thought...

I know that I always see dresses like this in department stores around homecoming/early winter. I'm going to hold out until the fall and then do a massive mall run to see if I can find something in the winter collections at Macys or JcPennys because everything is picked over now in the summer.
According to EW the props dept custom made this dress. It looks just like a vintage Jessica McClintock dress to me though.

Just found out the best news about this dress. Hot Topic had a booth at Comic Con and they are planning on releasing this dress in the fall of 2009. Keep your eyes open for any information on the release date. Looks like this will definitely sell out. They are also releasing a copy of Bella's brown jacket. Yay! You can find pictures of the dress on Twilighters Anonymous/Comic Con. They have a whole bunch of pictures up of what is going to be released and when. SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!

ReplyDeleteI WAS however, able to find a seller on Ebay who makes the dress custom made to your size and height. I got it in the mail the other day and plan on wearing it for Halloween. Add the Giselle shoes and the black cropped sweater from Old Navy and you are all set. Here is a picture (although not a very good one) of the dress and a close up of the embroidery on the bottom of the one I ordered.

I myself don't want them that badly. There are some crazy sellers on Ebay that have them for 450.00. Insane! they are VANS! unless Kristen herself wore them, they are not worth 450.00!
